Fluoridation is an addition of small amounts
of fluoride salts to drinking water by
certain water authorities to help prevent
tooth decay. Experiments in Britain, the USA,
and elsewhere have indicated that a
concentration of fluoride of 1 part per
million in tap water retards the decay of
children's TEETH by more than 50%.
